Have you found Waldo, or has Waldo found you?

Waldo’s Workshop

Where and What is Waldo

I guess this Waldo character is still around somewhere, but I haven’t had the recent pleasure of seeing his gorgeous enlarged eyes through those coke bottle glasses that he wears all the time.

Here is a question for you, What is your Waldo?

What is it that you seem to be missing? You’ve seen it occasionally pop its head up, but overall this “Waldo” emotion, thought, energy, is continuing to come and to go.

Where did that energy and motivation go? Where is it hiding?

One of my Waldo issues is in the guise of  not always totally finishing a project.

I write articles, create ebooks and other content, I create graphics for my ebooks and articles, yet…I always seem to have a lot of “Unfinished Business”(if you know what I mean).

Generalized Waldo

Now, most folks that I have talked to (and I have counseled and worked with a myriad of different people), almost always have  their “Waldo” moments.

Maybe it’s not being on time for things – especially work.
Combatting shyness and insecurities is another type of “Waldo”.

The point is that you and everyone else walking this planet has issues with some sort of a personal (what you perceive as), personal failing.

Maybe it’s a habit that you can’t seem to break. You know it’s there, but you don’t always know when those Coke Bottle glasses will be staring at you – from somewhere.

Waldo Spectre

Depending on what your “Waldo” is, or “Waldo’s” are, you may be able to control it/them to a point, but for some reason, and no one knows why (especially you) some form of idiocy, neglect, fear, an over whelming dynasty of chaos and personal destruction comes out of nowhere, only to fly around your ear telling you “Hey, why not?”.

Right in the midst of screwing around, wasting time, feeling sorry for yourself, procrastinating, you feel something invasive, uncomfortable, an uneasiness you can’t explain.

Then you look over your shoulder, left, right, you turn around, nothing. then you see it. In the shadows of your thoughts you see those damnable coke bottle glasses. Just the glasses, and you know what’s behind them…

YOUR WALDO!

Waldo, Your Friend

So what is your problem really? Is this “Waldo” syndrome part of your life, you make, up, who you are?

Probably (Uh, that doesn’t sound good does it?).

Who usually wins this battle between you and your Waldo(s)?  I’m just going to take a WAG (Wild Ass Guess) and say that so far your “Waldo(s)” is/are way ahead.

But, it’s not so bad. Your “Waldo” usually waits until a convenient time before showing up at your doorstep correct?  Ohhhhhh, Sorry!

So what in the hell am I talking about then? It certainly doesn’t sound like your Waldo Waltz is going very well. Lots of tripping over your feet and such.

Re-Creating Waldo

I said that the Waldo’s in your life could be more friendly.  Here’s why…

First and foremost your personal issues with life, and how you live (your Waldo’s) are giving you insight as to how you would like to be.

If you are a smoker and find that you can’t be as aerobically athletic as you once were, and you would like to cut back, or even quit, then you now know your choices. Smoke, cut back, or quit.

If your tendency toward re-arranging the hands on your clock usually makes you late, then your “Waldo is actually trying to do you a favor.

I had that Waldo at one time. This Waldo always alerted me to how late it was getting. It seems that this Waldo likes to make you turn your head to glance at the clock. My answer was (“I still have 5 minutes”, “I still have 30 seconds”, “I’ll drive faster”,

I always seemed to know when Waldo was watching me, and how much time I didn’t have.

My guess is that you also know when your Waldo is lurking behind the proverbial curtains, and that you could change the way, when, or how you are doing things.
